Senior IT Buyer
As a Senior IT Buyer, you will work closely with the Information Technology and Legal groups regarding the application and integration of procurement philosophies and techniques to meet the needs of internal customer requirements from a sourcing and contracts perspective. The ideal candidate will provide contract life cycle management of a significant, complex commodity that includes research of potential vendors, development of Request for Proposals, and the negotiation of terms and conditions, which protects the company from risk and achieves best in class terms.
This individual will be responsible for identifying new areas for procurement influence as well as maintain and grow existing relationships. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain expertise in the category being managed by analyzing trends and dynamics of the current market.
Work with key stakeholders to determine specific needs of the business.
Identify vendors with the capability to meet business requirements.
Prepare RF(x) and lead teams in the sourcing selection process.
Negotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions.
Develop expertise in use of eSourcing, contract management and eSignature tools.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Technology or similar area.
Minimum five years of purchasing experience with IT hardware, software licensing including cloud based solutions, Software-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a-Service, telecommunications and professional services.
Excellent PC skills with emphasis on Microsoft products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Experience dealing with automated purchasing systems. Ariba experience preferred.
Experience with RFP/RFIs using eSourcing tools.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, time management and planning skills.
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management, inside and outside of the organization.
Experience in creating and implementing procurement policies and procedures.
